Our friends at the One World Shop in Edinburgh recently described the visit to Scotland during Fairtrade Fortnight 2015 of Pamela Intelligent, the seamstress of our factory in Mauritius, as “inspiring”. They were spot on, despite the over-usage of the word these days.
When Pamela arrived in Edinburgh on Friday 20 February 2015 she had never even been to an airport, let alone travelled abroad before; she had never set foot in an aeroplane; she had never done any public speaking; she had never been up an escalator; and she had never seen snow!
