Women Supervisors Training Project

Koolskools-SUstainable are delighted to share the inspiring story of how women are being empowered at our ethical clothing factory in India, bucking gender stereotypes and cultural norms in the process.
In a one-year training project starting in September 2023, NUS charity funds supported Koolskools-SUstainable and our wonderful ethical factory management in devising and implementing a “Training of Women Supervisors” project specifically designed to shatter the glass ceiling that female factory workers face not only in India but in clothing factories throughout the world.
Before the project started, there were 16 male supervisors and 4 female supervisors on our production lines. As a result of the training,  that male/female ratio is now 10:10, with some of the women trainees already being earmarked for future management positions.
